Livelihoods

1. Kisswa Minds Savings and Credit Society
Having started with the first group in 2021, the KISMOS 3 is one of the organisation’s success stories. Today, it counts about 150 members from the community which is split into 5 self-reliant groups and now expanding to Bukomansimbi District. through BannaBukomansimbi United Groups. KISMOS supports these groups with advice and is planning to provide them with additional loan funds in a healthy manner. Believing in the sustainability of these groups, the additional funds will benefit the groups through increased access to money and higher profit as well as will contribute to cover running costs like staff salaries for the organization.
2. Community and Schools Gardens
KISMOS works with Seeds of Hope and has established community and school gardens, coffee plantations  in several villages and schools in Masaka District and surrounding districts in Greater Masaka. Its objective is to promote sustainable agriculture by focusing on local plants, creating a possibility for mutual learning among surrounding farmers as well as providing vocational skills and food security for pupils

3. Health and Wellness
KISMOS conducts wellness training virtually provided by experts and  plans to set up a Health Support Centre to provide a framework for health education and free check-ups to the schools’ pupils and the vulnerable among the community. The center will also engage in projects such as family planning, research, and malaria prevention measures among others.
