Charles Vroom Crankson
Country Director, Networker, Advisor
Charles is from Ghana, West Africa. After high school, he served a 2-year full-time mission in Uganda.
He traveled to and stayed in many areas but stayed the longest in Masaka (Where Kisswa Minds
Organisation is Headquartered), and he built much love for the people there.
Thankfully, he benefited from the significantly subsidized higher education provided by Brigham
Young University - Idaho through BYU-Pathway Worldwide (byupathway.org)! As a token of
appreciation, he has been a blessing to many BYU-Pathway students and those around him. Since
April 2020, he has volunteered to offer mentorship and support to over 3,000 online students (in
Africa and beyond) through WhatsApp groups and offer in-person support to those around him.
Typically, each week he would create tutorial videos, tips, screenshots, recordings, etc. (Full story:
https://bit.ly/3AHKUXa). Now he’s employed as an official Peer Mentor to BYU-Pathway students
with about 100 assigned students each semester to offer mentorship and support to each week. He
also works at FamilySearch International as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the Africa Area. His
story has also been published in the Liahona Article:

Charles loves offering help to others, solving problems, and using technological devices to get things
done faster. He is into network and system administration, and social media management. He is
active on LinkedIn and seeks to help his followers with tips on how to improve their LinkedIn profiles
to meet opportunities. He doesn’t like wasting time around. He is at any time schooling, doing one
or two main jobs, having other little sources of income, and engaging in several volunteer activities.
He has lots of volunteer experience because of his natural tendency to serve and to create an
opportunity to serve if there isn’t any. He loves connecting with people. He has lots of
intercontinental collaboration experience with school, work, and volunteer projects. He is a certified
Advanced-High English speaker by The American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages. His
weakness is being too attentive to detail.
